One of my passions is for photography. I usually only get to indulge in creative photography when I am taking a class, but I keep my hand in by taking most of my own show photographs and the normal stuff that family and travel requires. The most recent change in my life is that I have decided to become a photographer. This will allow me to apply my knowledge of light to photography (and hopefully be able to earn a living as well!). Recently, one of my photographs was accepted in the California Museum of Photography in Riverside's Micro-Macros Exhibit. It is now part of the CMP's permenant collection.

Another passion is for travel. I have been lucky enough to have taken several life-changing trips both with family and by myself. During the summer of 2003, I took a 5 week trip to France, Spain, and New York. I was by myself for most of the trip (Paris, Cannes, Barcelona) and stayed with people in Eugi (just outside of Pamplona) and New York. I learned a lot about myself during this trip; the most important thing being that I really don't like traveling for extended periods of time by myself. I like being able to share my day's findings with someone and talking over dinner. Despite this, I talked with many interesting people and saw wonderful sights |

Cannes, 2003 |
Most Recently I have gone to New York and San Francisco, both to visit my best friend, Jordi, and her fiance. Both trips were short but allowed me to get away for a few days. The most exciting bit is that I was able to explore Napa Valley a little bit when I ventured north for Jordi and Itai's wedding.

Now that I have been out of school for almost 3 years, it is time to go back again. With my last job, I realized that I loved Graphic Design. I have decided to take classes towards the UCLA Extension Design Communications Arts Certificate

My First Faire: I was 2.5 years old |
Usually in the spring (and for the first time in Fall of 2003) I can be found at The Renaissance Pleasure Faire (at least once). Spring 2003 was my first time working at Gypsy Soles. I had a blast and met amazing people. I never cease to be astonished at the day jobs of Faire Folk. Some people wander from faire to faire while others have actual jobs that support them (like film and TV industry people, and theatre people, and students (all right, being a student isn't really a way to support yourself, but it is a job) and lawyers, and bankers, and all sorts of other, interesting jobs). It is definitely the place to meet a full range of people who share at least one thing in common: The Faire.
Several years later I moved to a new booth: Archery. It is the home of many family and friends and for now it is where I call home. This last season I met lots of people and learned valuable lessons.
From here I moved to Security. And this year I am taking time off

My First Northern Faire: This was taken 1 week before my 22nd Birthday. |

I've also considered the possibility that one day I might want to be a chef. I've recently discovered how relaxing it is to cook and to lay out the resulting food in an artistic fashion. Who knows, maybe one day I will own my own restaurant where I am the head chef and the lighting consultant. It could happen.
